The First Alert 2096DF also features fire protection of valuables during a fire up to 1700ºF for one hour. The 2096DF model uses a unique method of fire protection; instead of creating a "steam moisture cloud" inside of the safe to maintain a temperature below 300ºF, this safe slowly burns off the outer protective fire material. This First Alert Safe will accommodate binders (including European A4) in an upright position. The 2096DF features an additional shelf and hanging key/accessory rack makes storing keys easier, and the storage pouch on the inside of the door offers additional convenience.
