The BF1716 is B rated and is constructed of 2 5/8" thick materials. It features large solid steel chrome-plated locking bolts and a full length dead bar that locks into the body and prevents someone from removing the door in a forced entry attempt. The door is 3 1/2" thick and consists of 1/2" plate steel. Lastly the BF1716 offers a silicone foam seal with a heat-expanding intumescent seal preventing heat influx in the event of a fire.
The BF1716 comes with an attractive granite finish and is lined with a smokey gray plus velour. It comes standard with a combination lock which is easy to use.
